DAILY INSPIRATION: Scott Toepfer - Eyes On The Line

Scott Toepfer's been called "the nicest guy in motorcycling" before and rightfully so. He's one of those people you meet who instantly make an impression on you. You're likely familiar with his photography work even if you didn't know it. It's been in countless forms of print and video, circulated throughout Tumblr feeds and Pinterest boards, and is in Triumph dealerships around the US. But for the last year or so Scott has decided to step out from behind the camera to partake in the two-wheeled action he's so often framing through a viewfinder. Not just any mild form of two-wheeled partaking either... hillclimbing and land speed racing... on a '45 Flathead Harley.

DIY - E28 Wooden Shift Knob Mod

Personally, I love the ergonomics of the E28's "dogbone" shift knob much better then the popular MTech knob. So much so that I wore through the leather wrap on mine. What the wore out leather revealed was that the knob was made of wood. Solid wood. It'd be a shame to just discard such a thing...



Badge is held on my double sided tape.

Clean up and sand to 600 grit.


After 16 coats of semi-gloss lacquer.

Re-apply badge with 3M double sided automotive badge tape.
