EVENT: 5 Star Motorcycle Mondays - Japanese Night
/
This past Monday was sadly the second last Motorcycle Monday night at 5 Star Bar this season. The event is organized and run by Steel Toe Press and Ton Up Chicago. As the season has gone on, the gatherings have seemed to grow larger. The food is great and so is the view. Floor to ceiling glass windows and doors line the front of the bar, overlooking the bike-lined street. Both sides are usually covered for a couple blocks. Not a bad turn out for a school night.
There were many other amazing bikes there, including a girl ridden restored Ural with a side car. Very cool. Unfortunately only about 1/3 of my photos were in focus. ...still learning.
GERMANY BOUND: And I Need Some Destinations
/
I found out today that I will be getting sent over to Germany in the next 3 weeks. I'll be there for about a 2 month stay, working on a few design projects at our office in Esslingen. I'm pretty stoked about it. I'm already trying to plan out how I can get on a motorcycle while I'm there, to do some touring.
I'm in search of some "must see" destinations, so if any of you are savy to the area, please, shoot me some ideas. I'd love to hear from you. Motorcycle inspired destinations get extra points.

PROJECT CX: Setting Up The Gararge
/As stated before, I recently moved into a newer, less thefty, garage. Space in this city is scarce, so I always end up having to rent the space I need a ways away from home. Roughly 5 miles this time. In Chicago time, this takes about 30-40min to get to.
I've been spending my weekends setting everything up and trying to organize a more legit work space. I recently put up a ton of lighting and, just, wow. Having a very well lit garage makes your quality of garage-life sky rocket. No more incandescent bulbs and shop lights.
It made me happy, so I shot a few pictures of the bike through the mounds of boxes and parts I'm still organizing.
I've still yet to give the bike a full and proper shoot / write up. I'm planning on doing all this as soon as the garage is situated. Having a decent camera at my disposal has been great.
